Berlin
Here I am at part of the Berlin Wall. This small section has been made a historical landmark, while only a few other sections still remain.

This is the Holocaust memorial. Every Concrete block is the same dimensions on a horizontal plane, but they all have varying heights. It's meant to be walked through, allowing each visitor to have a unique experience as the person walks through, watching the blocks get increasingly taller, while the area around become increasingly darker. After is a shot of the four of us inside the memorial (we weren't sure if we should smile inside of it or not, so compromised and did some sort of odd half smile)

And finally, the Brandenburg Gate: the site of famous events such as Reagan saying "Tear down this wall!" and David Hasslehoff wooing the German fans:

Sachsenhausen
On day 2, we took a tour of Sachsenhausen, the first (and model of the rest) concentration camp. This camp is unique in its proximity to a major city. Because of this, there were many examples of Nazi propaganda in order to convince the German citizens that this was necessary in order to convert the lowest of society into contributing citizens.

Here is the gate used to get into the actual camp, which states, "Work will set you free"

Here is an example of artwork drawn on a kitchen wall by some of the prisoners

Potsdam
On day 3, we went to Potsdam, a small city just outside of Berlin. It's home to many small shops, Frederick the Great's summer home, and the first meeting between the leaders the US, UK and Russia after the fall of the Nazis.

Here is us in front of Frederick the Great's summer home!

Then on day four, we took a flight from Berlin to Geneva. I'll have the post with Geneva pictures up shortly
