Switzerland!!!

On day 4 of the trip, we flew to Geneva. We didn't spend a huge amount of time actually in the city, but did get to walk around a bit. We saw the famous water spout of Geneva, a cathedral, and lots of cool little walk-ways with restaurants and shops (especially of the chocolate and clock variety).



Montreux
The next day, we took a train to Montreux, home of the Montreux Jazz Festival, huge mountains that shoot off from the lake, and tons fancy cars.

Here's the Chateau du Chillon. While attempting to cross the moat, I accidently stepped on a rather slippy rock, causing me to fall in about a foot of freezing water. However, once I made it across, I had a great view of the city from a grassy area next to the castle.

Here are random little monsters that are everywhere along the lake. No idea why, but pretty entertaining

Annecy
On the last day, Steve and I decided we wanted more of an adventure, so we left the girls to venture off into the wilderness of France! We took a train ride through some of the French countryside that's along the foothills of the Alps to arrive in a somewhat larger town called Annecy. Here's a picture of me paddleboating on the lake, and then a picture of the lake around sunset


After we saw the lake, we took a bus up to a town up one of the mountains.

We then hiked around for a few hours to get some better views of the town and the surrounding mountains


The next day, we took the train through the Alp (unfortunately no pictures from that) and then went to Milan for a little less than 24 hours, where we caught our flight back to Edinburgh
